McIntyre Dick & Partners is a member of the NZ CA group of independent accounting firms and has access to training, best practice and information available to this group. The firm is also a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) and as such we are bound by the auditing standards and ethics prescribed by NZICA

At McIntyre Dick & Partners we provide audit and assurance services to a range of entities including large and smaller companies, incorporated societies, schools and clubs.

These services include:

Statutory and regulatory audits for companies and other business entities where audits are required by the Companies Act 1993, Real Estate Audit Regulations, Education Act 1989 and other acts or regulations.

Internal audit – We provide a range of internal audit services. These include:

• Review of internal controls
• Assessment of risk
• Review of accounting systems
• Review of periodic financial statements
• Feasibility studies
• Due diligence reviews

Non-statutory audits for entities such as clubs or societies where an audit is required by the constitution, by the members or funders. The quality of these audits is governed by NZICA standards.

Review engagements for entities where a full audit is not required. Management may require an opinion on a particular segment or activity of the operations of a company or other entity to assure themselves or funding agencies of the integrity of the reporting for these areas.

Independent compliance advice including advice on compliance regulations, financial reporting standards, accounting methods and procedures, and the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards.
