We're excited to welcome Amber Spence to McIntyre Dick as a Principal from 1 October 2026.

Amber joins us from Flintoffs Chartered Accountants, where she has built a strong reputation for client focused advice. And she isn't coming alone. Stacey, Elaine, Amanda and Kim, who have worked alongside Amber for years, are joining us too.

This is a big step for McIntyre Dick as we continue to grow, and it's a great fit. Amber and her team care about the same things we do: strong relationships, practical advice and making the numbers easy to understand.

Amber is a proud Southlander with a real passion for people and community. After completing her BCom at Otago in 2013, she gained experience on the West Coast before heading home to Southland, where she and her husband Josh are raising their two kids.

She specialises in small to medium businesses, helping owners build strong, sustainable businesses through practical, tailored advice. She also has a keen interest in tax and accounting technology, making sure clients have the right tools and systems in place to succeed.

Financial education is close to Amber's heart. She regularly runs Women & Finance sessions and speaks at local schools, encouraging the next generation to consider a career in accounting. She also chairs the local CA ANZ committee, keeping her connected with the profession and helping strengthen accounting in the region. Off the clock, you'll likely find her on the netball court or spending time with family.

"I'm really excited about this next chapter. McIntyre Dick shares my passion for people and for Southland, and joining them means I can offer my clients even more support as their businesses grow. The best part is that nothing changes in how I look after them. Same people, same personal service, just a new home," says Amber.
