From humble beginnings in Nightcaps, where he left school at 15, Keith’s journey has taken him across a diverse range of industries, leaving an indelible mark on Southland and beyond.

Keith Neylon’s career is a testament to innovation and vision. Described as a man with "a touch of madness," his boldness has driven success in industries as varied as aviation, shellfish, salmon, large-scale farming, and most recently, sheep milk production through Blue River Dairy. Keith’s autobiography, A Touch of Madness, chronicles his fearless approach to advancing New Zealand’s resources and his relentless determination to overcome challenges — both within industries and in the broader New Zealand psyche.

His work in the sheep milk industry, where he pioneered sheep milking with Blue River Dairy, was a groundbreaking achievement that opened new export markets and set the stage for future success.
