Important Security Alert: Increase in Inland Revenue Scam Emails

We have recently been made aware of an increased number of scam emails circulating, falsely claiming to be from Inland Revenue. These fraudulent messages often encourage recipients to click on links to update details, claim refunds, or verify personal information.

We strongly advise:

  • Do not click on any links or attachments contained within unsolicited or unexpected emails.
  • If you are unsure of the authenticity of a message, access your Inland Revenue account (myIR) by typing the official website address directly into your browser. Do not use links contained in the email.
  • If you remain uncertain, please get in touch with our team. We are happy to assist in verifying any suspicious communication from Inland Revenue.

Fraudulent emails often appear convincing at first glance. However, the sender’s email address frequently includes unusual wording, extra numbers, or slight variations of legitimate addresses. Taking a moment to review the sender’s details can help you identify scams before any action is taken.

Please contact us if you have any concerns about your Inland Revenue account.
